Sedona features four primary vortex sites recognized for their concentrated earth energy and distinct red rock formations.
Visitors access these locations via self-guided hiking trails ranging from flat pathways to steep rock scrambles. Expect heavy crowds, limited parking, and unshaded routes that get dangerously hot during summer months.
You will need a Red Rock Pass ($5 per day) or an America the Beautiful Pass to park at most trailheads. Be sure to carry at least one gallon of water per person per day.

This bell-shaped formation radiates masculine energy. The surrounding Bell Rock Pathway is an easy, mostly flat 3.5-mile trail with just 185 feet of elevation change. You do not need to climb the rock itself to feel the energy. The lower sections are very family-friendly.

Boynton Canyon offers balanced energy within a box canyon containing scrub brush and shaded sections. The full trail is a 6-mile moderate hike with a 931-foot elevation gain. However, you can access the specific vortex site near the Kachina Woman formation near the trail's beginning.
